Baby Apocalypse

Here is a commission that I did for the same client who asked me to do the Apocalypse piece not too long ago.  He loved the first one so much that he wanted another!  I said, "That's what I'm here for!"  So he sent me a photo of his baby Seth and asked if I would transform him to look like a baby version of Marvel's Apocalypse...and here's the piece:

I really love the way this turned out, aside from it being a baby version of Apocalypse, it's very different from anything else I've ever done.  Because of Apocalypse's skin tone being gray I chose to use a gray card stock to work on.  I think it ended up with a lot more depth and it forced me to work with my colored pencils differently.  This was also the first time I've used colored pencils for a portrait piece...it was a little nerve racking since you can't really erase colored pencils, I tackled it very slowly.  The whole time all I could think was, "Don't mess it up, don't mess it up!!!"  Let me know what you guys think!

Lanterns and the Apocalypse

Two posts in one day!!!!!  Whaaaaa????  That's right, I'm comin' at ya with two posts in ONE day...it won't happen again for awhile, trust me.
Alright, sooo...ummm last summer (holy crap) I made a sketch card for my friend Micheal of Dex-Starr.  For those who don't know, he's an adorable vengeful RAGING kitty from the Blackest Night comics...Dex-Starr is, not Micheal. :)  Anywho!  I decided to make a full set of sketch cards to go with the angry feline and here they are: (note: the Green Lantern is Alan Scott b/c that's Micheal's fave)
I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out.  I'm sure that I'll be adding to them soon.  All the originals went to Micheal but I do have copies for sale if anyone wants em!

Up next is a commission that I did for a guy who found my work through Google...I wonder how deep he had to dig to come across me.  He wanted an adorable version of his favorite character, Marvel's Apocalypse.  And here he is!:
ARRRRRGGGGG!!!!  I'm already working on another commission from the same guy, so he liked it!

That's all for now kiddos!!!! ;)

Blue Jaye

So, as promised here is some more work that I've done recently!  This piece was commissioned from a guy that found me while I was at Baltimore Comic-Con.  He later got in touch with me and told me about this character that he had been working on for awhile.  You can check out the his work on DeviantArtHere though is the piece he commissioned from me:

I think he turned out pretty good!  The feathers took me foreeeeeevvvvvverrrr.  It will be awhile before I can look at feathers the same way again.

Listen to what the Mom says...

Hey Everybody!!!  It's been waaaaay too long since I've updated my blog, but I'm putting forth more effort! ^.^  With that in mind...
The more time I spend with my mom as an adult the more I realize that the things she says can be...well...crazy.  But in a good way!  Like make your friends crack up good.  So I've decided that when those occasional (actually quite often) things slip out...I'm drawing a comic of it.

BEHOLD, the first installment of My Mom Said WUT???

Love you MOM!!!!
